I think that it comes down to the fact that the M31 was the first Teal and Orange LUT that gave people a shortcut to one of the most popular palettes that has been utilized by artists throughout history. We specifically create normalization profiles for all of the different cameras and profiles we support so that emulation LUTs have a common base and produce consistent results.
